-Flow Chart-

I have been asked by my lecturers to prepare a flowchart for my game design. Do you know what flowchart is? This is the answer from Wikipedia.

A flowchart is a common type of diagram, that represents an algorithm or process, showing the steps as boxes of various kinds, and their order by connecting these with arrows. Flowcharts are used in analyzing, designing, documenting or managing a process or program in various fields.

I have plan my game flow to make it run smoothly without any problem. And this is the flowchart of my game.

i - when game started, player can chose either to skip the intro or not
ii - if player skip the intro, he/she will go directly to main menu
iii - if player choose to continue with the intro, he/she will go to main menu after intro
iv - there are 3 buttons on main menu; Play, How To and Credits
v - choose Play to play the game, How To for game instructions and Credits for developer's details.
vi - play game to win or lose, then can choose either to play again or exit

.:: Character Design ::.

There are 3 characters in my game; cat (hero), dove (victim) and foxes (criminal). So, I'll reveal the looks of my characters in this post.

This is my hero - Supermeow

The victim that need to be save - Miss Dove

And the evil - Mr. Musang

.Precedent Study.

I have done some research on game layout for my references. I'll show some layout that has a bit similarity with my rough ideas.

Game Intro - to tell users about the storyline

Main Menu - there will be 4 button; play, instruction, credits and exit

Game Layout - i'll create a simple background with the image of forest

Winning screen - winning and losing screen to tell users the result of the game

Losing Screen

Credits

I will refer to these layouts for my game design. I got all these images from Google Image. Thx Mr. Google~!

Dummy Games!!

In last 9/11 class, Mr. Muna has asked us to prepare a dummy game based on the scripting that we have found for stage 2 presentation on next week. So, I have started the process of dummy game and found that the scripting that makes the game to function is about 40-pages of A4 paper with Calibri font size 12.

IT IS 40-PAGES, OK??? T_________T
Reading and trying to understand those 40-pages of scripting made me saw the world in upside down..x_x

Those 40-pages of scripting are just for the game play. The script for menu button, result screen and other interactivity are excluded.

Okay, for not wasting my time, I have to continue the making of my dummy game. I'll update about the process later..Wish me all the best with these bunch of scripting..bye!

This game was inspired by a game called Super Granny. In that game, Super Granny needs to rescue the kittens. Now, it is the time for one of the kittens to be the hero. He needs to go through obstacles in order to save the doves.

Why Supermeow?
I have chosen this name because Malaysians are likely to call a cat by "meow". So, Supermeow will be appropriate to be related with Malaysia culture.

Why need to save dove?
I have chosen the dove because doves are the symbol of peace.

After starting the game, you has to free the doves from the cages in other to complete the level. You will be given 3 chances to rescue the doves. If you want to exit from this application, you may click the exit button.

The idea of this game was inspired by Super Granny games series. But I'll slightly change the storyline, character and the gameplay. In this game, a kitten who is called Supermeow need to rescue the dove which has been trap by the foxes. Supermeow just has to release the doves from the cages and he will be rewarded. The level will complete after all of the doves has been released.

(=^_^=)v to PEACE!

Hmmm...Peace!!..Have u wondering what it is about?? Do you know what is the scope of peace?? and have you know about peace theory?

Based on Wikipedia, PEACE means something that is commonly understood as the absence of hostility or the existence of healthy ore newly-healed interpersonal or international relationships, safety in matters of social or economic welfare, the acknowledgment f equality and fairness in political relationships and, in world matters, peacetime, a state of being absent of any war or conflict. Reflection on the nature of peace is also bound up with considerations of the causes for its absense or loss. Among these potential causes are: insecurity, social injustice, economic inequality, political and religious radicalism, and acute racism and nationalism.

.The Error.

As I mention in my previous post, the lecturers gave us the collection of seniors' work to help we out. Our class representative, Mr. JJ are responsible to spread the video among us. So, he has uploaded the files on Cybertracker to share it with us..Millions of thank to you Mr. JJ~

But, as u have seen above, there are errors in my downloading. I have tried for more than 10 times, but the result is always the same. The errors are "the requested operation cannot be performend on a file with a user-mapped section open.

These errors is keep on happen after few trials

Suddenly, a warning from my anti-virus pop up on my screen informed that these folders contain Trojan.

the pop-up

So, I have decided to deny the access to these folders and I'll try to use some of the completed file to guide me in this project.

the torrents

It is 91.7% complete and I think it is enough for me to make them as my references. Wish me all the best guys!
